Enjoyable . . . an easy, feel-good, encouraging read. *****Amazon review

I use this book as a nightly devotional read because the stories are just so inspiring.

‘My Embrace’ was a wonderful journey in thoughts and deeds and always will be with me. I was moved by each story and poem and encouraged to meet life’s challenges with optimism.

Lori Joseph’s delightful book My Embrace. It’s a collection of poems, life observations, and anecdotes designed to make you think – and they do. "Listen to that voice within" and "take a chance no matter what," she writes. This is a book worth returning to again and again.
-John Dedakis, Novelist, writing coach, and former editor on CNN’s "The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer."

Her narrative weaves nature, family, and everyday doubt into a beautiful narrative of love of self and others and learning to listen to your gut.

A wonderful collection. I can't wait to hear more from Lori Joseph, Nebraska plains-woman. You don't have to be from Nebraska to find a connection to these pieces. This book makes a great gift.

My friend Terry Wild turned seventy-five on January 18, 2022. A simple exchange to wish him a Happy Birthday led to this creative endeavor.

The concept of Seventy-Five is a testimonial to real life, not the embellished life people gravitate to on social media. Our society has experienced a deep decline in empathy (46% over the last three decades). We hope Terry's images with my words will provoke and stimulate you to look at the ordinary and to feel something. If Seventy-Five causes you to pause, reflect or laugh, then we will have succeeded. If you are inspired to look more closely at your daily life, and your impact on our natural world, and mindfully do something kind for another person, it's a huge win.

Loved seeing the photographs and then coming up with my own thoughts of each image. It was intriguing to see what the author’s thoughts were of them, and how she made me see the image from a different view.
