FEBRUARY SHOWCASE ISSUE
Welcome to our February issue, showcasing the vision and talent of poet Lori Joseph and photographer Tim O’Hara. These images and words are monuments to the strange romance that has always endured between the Mountain West and those of us who live here. I hope you find them as captivating and hauntingly beautiful as we do, here at Clerestory. This issue is a love poem, written in the red clay and dust storms of the high plains.

My Embrace is a relatable collection of stories, thoughts, and poems straight from the heart.
Lori Joseph openly shares her journey of navigating an authentic life and building confidence through self-acceptance and forgiveness while staying grounded in the natural world.
With reflections on the gifts we all possess, this book will inspire you to pause, to listen with intent, and to laugh and reflect on your own extraordinary journey.
Excerpt from the poem “Reflection”:
My life’s road map is in the mirror. By changing my thoughts, I witness immediate change. I can control how I act and respond, what I choose and don’t, love of life, projects.
Now and then we need a hug when we’re feeling most vulnerable. My Embrace offers reassurance and validation to take that next step towards your dreams. To Try.
"The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift." Albert Einstein
The Ashes to Art Workshop offers a playful approach of how to move forward after adversity. Sensory exploration, hands on creating and role playing all contribute to understanding our levels of empathy. It is when we engage empathic concern, a call to action, more joy comes into our life
Joseph shares her own experience of leading a national
campaign and encourages participants to set fear and vulnerability aside in order to seek new opportunities. By trusting our inner voice, our intuition, Joseph believes we become more receptive to opportunities.
